Work Experience
Jan 2024 - Present: Staff Technical Program Manager, Latitude AI
Jan 2023 - Jan 2024: Senior Technical Program Manager, Latitude AI
Leading technical program management for Infrastructure, which encompasses:
- data pipelines & platforms at petabytes of scale, from collecting data on vehicles to offboard for ML and AI model training,
- software development lifecycle, starting with build and release to deployment on vehicle,
- engineering operations, including SW processes, defining KPI/SLAs, and infrastructure/tooling to enable a first-class developer experience,
- platform development for a safe, reliable and secure autonomous driving product
Interface with >150 engineering staff, working with dozens of engineering teams across various disciplines (i.e. offboard data infrastructure, cloud, HPC, build/CI/CD, cybersecurity, ML & AI, labeling, simulation & resimulation, data & analytics platform, SRE, web applications, UI/UX, HW/FW, embedded OS and networking, HITL, systems and integration) to drive critical company programs from inception to delivery.
Oct 2021 - Mar 2023: Technical Program Manager, Software (Autonomy Infrastructure), Argo AI
- Organize numerous autonomous vehicle functions (i.e. SW Update, Product Security, OS, Networking, Connectivity and Manufacturing SW) by creating quarterly plans and long-term feature roadmaps to align with business objectives and support the execution of Argo’s vehicle programs with Ford & VW in addition to pilots with Walmart and Lyft (thousands of jobs completed over two cities)
- Coordinate multiple engineering teams’ (Onboard Platform, Deployment) sprint plans, reviewing with stakeholders to get alignment on timelines.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to improve platform reliability of the AV through: introducing optimizations and reducing bugs during vehicle start-up (40% time improvement), and improving SW deployment times.
- Responsible for various external meetings (incl. Ford, VW, Intel, manufacturers) to coordinate new system integration bring-up/testing, prioritize support and ensure software changes are delivered as needed.
Aug 2021 - Oct 2021: Quality & Test Engineering (SRE/DevOps & DataEng), Vicarious
- Created software to help automate infrastructure bringup and deployment of customer sites, expediting deployments while reducing errors and complexity.
- Reviewed internal objectives to define metrics and KPIs, drove process optimizations as appropriate and brought up data engineering pipelines to support observability.
Mar 2019 - May 2021: Software Engineering Manager, Bossa Nova Robotics
- Work with an engineering team to develop software (tools, scripts, and systems) used to test and calibrate hardware, conduct robot test automation, and manage infrastructure at factories.
- Created and drove the engineering roadmap for robot testing.
- Worked on 6+ different hardware systems/platforms and shipped over 800+ robots to production as a group
- Started as the first hire on a new engineering team and led its growth to 6 engineers and other technicians/contractors.
Aug 2017 - Mar 2019: Software Engineer, Infrastructure, Bossa Nova Robotics
- Supported bring-up of the robot manufacturing line and test process, developing scripts and supporting operations.
- Developed software to monitor and measure various robot metrics to analyze its performance and reliability.
- Worked with system engineering to integrate third party components (i.e. sensors) into the robotic platform.
- Performed software QA testing and hardware/system failure analysis.
Jan 2017 - Sep 2017: Quality System Engineer, Fabrinet West
- Executed program changes from inception to implementation; working with external clients (incl. Nvidia, Tesla and Intel) to understand their needs and requirements, and translating that into a development roadmap for engineering.
- Developed business systems to monitor factory production status and metrics. Created tooling that generated quality/operation reports for internal management reviews and external customer quarterly business reviews.
June 2014 - Apr 2016: Web Developer / Accounts Manager, University of California, Irvine
- Developed and maintained various university websites and administrative web tools using javascript, PHP and mySQL. Implemented bash and Python scripts to automate server tasks to support university tech/web server operations.
